2. Licensing
Licensing requirements for business-purpose real estate lending vary by state. In some states our activities require a lender license; in others, commercial and business-purpose loans are exempt. We obtain and maintain each license required for the states in which we lend, and we do not originate loans in a state unless we are licensed or exempt there. A current list of our state licenses is available on request.

4. Compliance Program
Our compliance program includes policies and procedures for fair lending, anti-money laundering and Bank Secrecy Act requirements, OFAC sanctions screening, identity verification, information security and complaint handling. Policies are reviewed at least annually and updated as laws change.
5. Business-Purpose Loans
All of our loans are made for business or investment purposes to borrowers acquiring, refinancing, renovating or building non-owner-occupied real estate. We do not make consumer mortgage loans or loans secured by a borrower’s primary residence.
